« Simultaneously a wave and a particle, light has puzzled physicists since antiquity » (Corniou, 2015). Inspired by the mysteries surrounding light over the centuries, the creation process of Midnight was greatly influenced by this fascination and was designed to illuminate any environment. Whether it’s the twinkle of stars lightning up the darkness or the dynamic glow of city lights, our goal was to capture the essence of this captivating scientific phenomenon and incorporate it into interior spaces. « With Midnight, our goal was to design modular carpets with their own distinct personality that add a playful touch while perfectly complementing any space. We wanted to think outside the box and bring dynamism and joy », reveals our Business & Product Development Director, Line Millier.
She then continues: « We explored the creation of progressive designs, from the simplest to the most complex, allowing the use of the desired number of tiles, with negative and positive variation possibilities. In terms of color palette, we leaned towards a selection primarily composed of blues, greens, bronze, silver and burgundy, aiming to cater to a wide range of projects and to meet the varied demands of design and architecture firms ».
The ideation process for Midnight took us on a journey through infinite universe of concepts. Using lightning as our canvas offered us a myriad of design possibilities, providing you with a versatile and unique flooring option.
To diversely represent the complexity of light and offer countless design options, the Midnight collection consists of four elegant modular carpet styles: Astral, Celeste, Sirius and Nebula. Each style stands out with unique patterns and textures that bring elegance and depth to any environment.
« When designing the Midnight collection, our primary goal was to create three complementary styles with patterns designed to blend seamlessly and harmoniously. This led to the creation of Astral, Celeste and Sirius, each offering the possibility to compose visuals that are both captivating and balanced. However, we also wanted to add a touch of uniqueness to the collection, which is why we introduced Nebula, a bold and distinct style. While Astral and Celeste bring a subtle and versatile elegance, Sirius and Nebula are perfect for more assertive and expressive looks, », explains our Senior Industrial Designer Loïc Boutin.
« With a carefully selected palette of 15 colors, each style can be creatively combined, allowing unique mixes and combinations, » he adds.

Named after the brightest star in the sky, Sirius captures the intensity of the stars and the vibrant lighting of urban life. Its clear and defined lines will add a spectacular effect to your projects.
